Week 7: Elevator Pitch No. 2

Elevator Pitch No. 2:

Here is the second elevator pitch for my application idea, Clear Vote. Based on the constructive feedback I received for my first pitch, I was able to perfect my second one a little more although I realize it still needs some minor work here and there. Enjoy!

  1. Hey Jessica! I believe I have a grasp of what your intentions are behind your product but I am not exactly sure if I know how it will run. I think you are pushing for a way to create an unbiased vote with only the interests of the people in mind. If I were to make a suggestion I believe it would be to clear up exactly what your product will do and how it will change the current voting status. Overall I thought your video was pretty good and I think you should check mine out also http://cambent.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no2.html

  2. Hey Jessica,
I think that you have a very good idea. It would be pretty cool if people could easily find out about candidates without all of the biased opinions of people on social media through an app. It would also be great if you could vote for a candidate using your phone. If this were the case, I'm sure voter turnout would skyrocket. If I were to give you a piece of advice for your pitch and product it would be to develop and convey an element of personal identification and strong cybersecurity to avoid voting results being tampered with by hackers. Overall, I think you have very good idea. Best of luck if you decide to act on it! Feel free to check out my blog post here: http://wsentrepreneurship.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-2.html

  3. I think this is a great idea. I could really use an app like this because I am having a hard time figuring out who I should vote for this election year. I know I am not the only one so this idea could be wildly successful if done the right way. A piece of advice I would give is that you should make the app center around the user as much as possible, meaning if the user is Republican, the app should give them information on Republican candidates first and then moving to Democrats and Independents.

  4. Jessica,
Great idea, however, I would have been off the elevator and onto my life...I would suggest you ask a question or a statement. Voting is a private issue and some people are against being asked certain questions, however, making your pitch conversational would certainly break the ice and help you personalize the pitch. Its an election year you could simply look up from your phone and say, "wish I had an app that would allow me to vote while I am on this elevator! Or something that will open the door to further questions...the point of the elevator pitch is basically giving your synopsis of your business in a condensed version = short enough to get your concept across to a person in the time between floors in an elevator. With that said. Its a great idea!!

  5. I really like your idea! You have a pretty good script here, especially in the intro. The facts you added really help support the need for a product such as yours. I think the problem is it sounded too much like a script...it should sound a little more natural and personal if that makes sense. I think you should keep doing takes, trying new things, until it starts to sound less scripted. Overall good job! Oh and here's my blog if you want to check it out http://jdlopezent.blogspot.com/

  6. Hey Jessica,
I enjoyed watching your elevator pitch. I think that you have a great business idea here. I find it hard to see what a candidate stands for without hearing some bias from the media. Your application would show what the truly candidates truly believe and stand for. This is a nice take on factual politics. I think that your app would be very popular for the undecided voter.

  7. Hey Jessica,
I really enjoyed your idea! I think it is unique, relevant, and extremely helpful for the people of today's world. It is hard getting straight facts and answers with all the bashing and biast of social media, media news outlets and ranndom people, most of whom have no idea what they are even talking about let alone voting for. I think there is eally nothing more exciting than being able to have the freedom to vote. It is important that everyone knows who and what, exactly, they are voting for. GREAT IDEA!!!
