Week 10: Elevator Pitch No. 3

Elevator Pitch No. 3

The pitch:

Reflection: People mentioned in my last pitch that I was not too convincing in the way that I should have been in pitching an idea. One comment emphasized how I need to pretend that I am in an elevator with a potential investor / consumer and I only have from the bottom to the top floor to SELL my idea, not simply state it or reiterate my product. That feedback was really helpful and I took that advice in making this third pitch. My idea, Clear Vote, has potential I just need to make others see that.

  1. Hey! I think that Clear Vote is a really great idea! It would be useful in today's society. If I could make any suggestions, I would say that you should focus more on how the app will work (how it can be downloaded, what specific features it has, etc). I would also recommend not moving around the camera/view in your pitch! It was distracting from your idea! Good job!

  2. Hey Jessica. I think the feedback given to you was very important. They're correct you might have needed to be more convincing, but if you look deeper, I think they meant you needed to be more passionate about your idea. If you aren't passionate, your investors won't be. Have fun! Believe in your idea! Even if you have to fake it until you make it, show other people that they should be as passionate about your project as you are. 3. Jessica, I like your enthusiasm about idea and your pitch was well done. However, I think it would be hard to get people to catch on to an app like this. How would they know it is unbiased? I for one would not put my trust into one source of information for deciding on which candidate to vote for.

  4. Great blog post! I really enjoyed watching your video and learning about your product! Whereas I'm not really sure I know how your product would work, your elevator pitch was very successful. I suppose you could go into brief detail about how your service will keep refrain from bias. Anyway the way you spoke and were dressed was very professional and effective.

  5. The idea is really a great one. I feel that there are some logistical issues. How would you prevent people from becoming biased from all the other media provided? Also how can you build trust in the community that the information provided is factual and unbiased? As far as the presentation goes I thought you did a nice job. Next time I would do it in more of a controlled environment to keep out distracting background noises. Also I think you should jot down a framework of how you want to deliver your message and then speak naturally. This will keep it a little moe authentic and dynamic, it appeared at times you were reading your pitch. Good Luck
